Blackpool FAQ's

- Are you insured?  Yes we are insured and also registered key holders. Members of Pet Sitters international (PSI) and National Association of registered dog sitters (NARDS).

- What happens if my dog is on medication?  We can administer most medicines as prescribed by your vet. We also have a close working relationship with most vets to ensure all dogs receive the best possible care.

- How will my dogs be transported?  All our vans are fully equipped with the safety of your dog of uttermost importance. Dogs have their own section in one of our vans which are also fully fitted with animal first aid, dog shower, leads, collars, poo bags, toys and all you pet care needs. Dogs are NOT and NEVER just thrown in together.

- What do I need to provide for my pet? Just food is fine with us. We are fully equipped with beds, blankets, towels, bowls, treats, poo bags and toys. However if you prefer your dog to have his/her own belongings then that is also fine. We will ensure your dog is comfortable and happy during their stay with us.

- How do I pay?  You can pay by cash, cheque (payable to Blackpool Pet Sitters) or internet banking. For boarding, payment is due on collection or delivery. For regulars clients this can be weekly or monthly.

- Where will my dog be walked? Dogs are transported in one of our fully equipped vans to safe exercise areas. We vary where your dog will be walked to add variety and to stimulate senses. We often walk round Stannah, Fleetwood, beaches (various), woods , reserves and forests. We park in safe areas away from roads and take the dogs off lead so they can run and play.

- Does my dog need to be vaccinated? This is a personal decision. I generally would advise yes as your dog will be mixed with others who will be vaccinated. I also insist flea treatments are up to date.

- Where will my dog stay?  We do NOT have kennelling facilities so all dogs are kept in home from home environments where the routine at home will be replicated during their stay. Remember it is your dogs’ holiday to so they WILL be spoilt and loved.

- Can I see where my dog will be staying?  Of course. You can see the facilities we have on offer by booking a prior appointment.

- I have never left my dog before will you let me know how they get on?  Of course. We can send text messages and /or pictures. We also have a facebook page you can visit for updates.

Any other questions welcome.
